SHL teams in Sweden, Taiwan, and the USA have collaborated to jointly develop Molly with a pre-standardised development/design work to accelerate speed-to-market for customers, and utilises safety and ergonomic features.

Molly consists of a permanently hidden needle and is operated by a simple two step process.

Molly is expected to be launched by SHL at the PDA Conference in Las Vegas, US, from 18 to 19 October 2010.

SHL Group executive vice president Lucio Giambattista was quoted by Biotech East saying that Molly was a new medical device that can take SHL Medical's products to the next level.
